Nadine M. Doughty PsyC

Licensed Psychologist Candidate

Feeling dysregulated, not yourself, or stuck in flight or fight after experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, or PTSD, and just needing to know how to self-regulate, feel confident, trust yourself, and be present in the here and now? This is a huge undertaking, but finding the right clinician can make all the difference. That’s where I come in.

I’m Dr. Nadine Doughty, a (pre-licensed) psychologist in the State of Colorado, with master’s and doctorate degrees in Clinical psychology specializing in Neuropsychology from The University of the Rockies and Ashford University. My passion and research in Equine-facilitated psychotherapy are geared toward helping individuals who have sustained trauma or sexual trauma. During my practicum, pre-doctoral internship, and post-doctoral internship with the Colorado Department of Corrections in Canon City, Colorado, I was privileged to work with those struggling with various diagnoses.

My love for nature and horses informs my theoretical and experiential approach to therapy from a mindfulness practice in the treatment of traumatic stress. Together, we can embark on a journey of healing in a holistic, supportive, and safe environment. My connection with the great outdoors extends to my hobbies and self-care, which include hiking, camping, and sharing nature with my family. Your healing process can benefit from my unique approach, allowing you to rebuild and regain control of your life. Welcome to the journey of healing.
